What Is ClickFunnels Platinum?

If you're active in the ClickFunnels community, or considering starting a ClickFunnels account, you may have heard about some big changes to the software and pricing plans. 

So in this post I'm going to cover everything from the ClickFunnels birthday announcement on September 23rd, 2019, and specifically what is ClickFunnels Platinum (the new pro pricing tier that replaced the Etison Suite). 

A ton of confusion and rumors arose due to the announcement and hype around it, so hopefully this post will help fix that for anyone reading it.

During the announcement it was clear that this is only phase # 1 of changes happening to ClickFunnels, and two more big announcements are coming. 

Phase 2 will be announced at FunnelHacking Live on January 31st, and Phase 3 on Russells birthday, march 8th.

Big Changes To ClickFunnels

The 5th birthday announcement went into details about the company's future direction, past mistakes, and big changes for the platform. 

Russell went into detail about how they had made a strategic mistake by trying to do too many things with the software. 

Instead of trying to do everything like chatbots, email marketing, etc., they're now going to focus solely on being the absolute best (the so-called "Category Kings") of sales funnel software. 

Personally, I think it's a great strategy. 

ClickFunnels HAS been trying to do too many things, and as a result, their core service (funnels), have gone underdeveloped.

There's already a ton of good software in each of the big marketing categories like Email Marketing, and all ClickFunnels has to do is to create solid integrations with those platforms to give their users a great experience.

As you can imagine, refocusing their time and development efforts back on funnels means some BIG changes for the software and the plans, and the big one is Platinum.

Let's dive into what that means for you.

What Is ClickFunnels Platinum Exactly?

ClickFunnels Platinum is the Etison Suite tier rebranded. 

The Etison Suite was ClickFunnel's top-tier plan that packed a ton of extra features vs the basic plan.

With the announcement, a ton of new features, new content, bonuses, and massive changes are taking place.

Included in the new plan are some features from the Etison Suite that are simply rebranded features, and some new and awesome features. 

Additions to Platinum include FunnelFlix, unrestricted access to the new Funnel Hacker Forum, and Daily Virtual Hack-a-Thon's. 

Actionetics (the ClickFunnels branded Autoresponder) has been replaced with "Follow Up Funnels." 

From what I can tell, Follow Up Funnels is exactly the same as Actionetics (no features have been removed), just under a new name.

There was some concern that Backpack (ClickFunnels Affiliate Software once part of Etison suite and now part of Platinum) and other features were being sunsetted, but that seems to have been an unfounded rumour.

How Much Does ClickFunnels Platinum Cost - What You Get For $297/Month

So how much does ClickFunnels Platinum cost?

ClickFunnels Platinum adds a ton of new value to the Etison Suite plan and for now costs $297 (the same as the Etison Suite), but there was mention of the cost going up to $697 at some point in the future (which makes more sense if CF is targeting this plan tier at agencies and enterprise organizations).

That's a LOT for the average person, so if you've been considering upgrading, but were on the fence, you might want to do it before the cost increases.

So what's the difference between ClickFunnels Platinum and the ClickFunnels basic plan?

As you can see, CF Platinum is perfect for agencies and larger companies that need multiple users, domains, etc. 

ClickFunnels Unlimited

What is ClickFunnels unlimited? 

ClickFunnels Unlimited was genuinely confusing to me because it doesn't appear to be a new feature or additional functionality, but instead just a general way of saying, "hey, with ClickFunnels Platinum you're getting lots of unlimited stuff like funnels, page visits, contacts, etc. "

While the wording is confusing this is great news for agencies that are managing multiple sites and funnels.

Follow Up Funnels Replaces Actionetics

Follow Up Funnels is another confusing name change - basically Actionetics and Actionetcs MD are being sunsetted and their features rolled into Follow Up Funnels.

Apparently Actionetics is still around for existing users, but new users won't see it at all.

According to the ClickFunnels own site, Follow-Up Funnels is the, "new native autoresponder system. This allows you to set up your own follow up emails, send broadcast emails, and perform a variety of other functions with your contacts." (Source)

Daily Virtual Hackathons

This was a potentially game changer announcement, though I think it mostly went over peoples heads.

Apparently Platinum members will be able to follow along on "daily virtual hackathons," where funnels are built and broken down live.

This seemed to confuse the audience for the most part but I can see how this would be huge for certain people and insanely valuable. 

Each funnel hackathon will focus on building a different type of funnel.

So on one day they'll build a webinar funnel, on another they'll build a lead generation funnel, etc.

You get the idea. This is "Inner Circle" mastermind-level value for the right people. 

Funnel Hacker Forum

This next announcement is good news for CF users that don't like the atmosphere in the public Facebook groups.

There's now a funnel hacker forum that's live for all users, but with VIP access for Platinum users. 

The forum is a traditional style online forum with threads and topical sections, and a great place to go get help from the community. 

Personally I've never like the CF Facebook groups, there's too many people trying to sell you and getting real information out of the community comes with a lot of baggage. 

There's also a lot of non users in the FB groups, meaning you're not always interacting with actual ClickFunnels users, but the forum by contrast is all verified ClickFunnels customers.

What Is FunnelFlix - Is It Included in ClickFunnels Platinum?

FunnelFlix is a new training portal that's being billed as the "Netflix for Funnelhackers." 

FunnelFlix is a massive library of training courses from some big names like Tony Robbins, Russell Brunson, Jay Abraham, AdSkills, and more.

The courses cover topics ranging from funnels, to paid traffic, money management, and more.

FunnelFlix will be available for all ClickFunnels plans but Platinum members will have access to a lot more content than basic plan members.

This is hugely valuable to the right people, and some of these courses cost thousands individually, so the value is real.

Conclusion

ClickFunnels Platinum isn't for every one (in fact, at this time it's not for me). 

There's clearly a ton of value packed on to the new ClickFunnels pricing plans in the form of courses and features, but they're most likely aimed at medium sized businesses, agencies, and funnel power users. 

If you need unlimited everything, lots of training, and have the budget, I think it's amazing value and you should go for it.

Hopefully the $297 price will stick around for a while, the fact that they mentioned it will go up to $697 (but didn't say when) left me feeling a little uncertain.
